Unnai arinthal ,

Ulagathil poradalam ,

Uyarnthalum  thaazhndhalum thalai,

Vangamal   nee vaazhalaam,

1.Understanding yourself-If you ,

Are understanding yourself,

You can fight  in this world ,

Whether you rise up or go down ,

You can live   without bending your head.

2.Manam periyathendru vaazhum manithargalai,

Manendru cholvathillaya-thannai,

Thaan arinthu kondu ,

OOrukkum cholpavarkal,

Thalaivarkal aavathillaya?

2.Do not we call those  men who live  ,

Saying respect is greater  as Musk deer,

Don’t those who understand  themselves ,

And also tell others become leaders.

3.Bhoomiyil  neraga vaazhbavar yellorum,

SAmikku nigarillaya?-pirar,

Thevayarinthu kondu  vaari koduppavargal,

Deivathin  pillaigal illaya?

3.Are not all  the people of the world who live straight ,

Equal to God? Are not those  ,

Who understand the need of others and give in plenty ,

Sons  of God?

4. Maperum sabayinile nee nadanthaal –unakku,

Maalaikal vizha vendum –oru,

Mathu kurayatha  mannavan ivan endru ,

POthri pugazha vendum.

4.When you walk in a great gathering –garlands ,

Should fall on you  and people should praise you,

That this one  is  a blemish less  king.
