1. Iraivanukkum peyarai vaithan,oru manithan,

Inge iraivan illai yendrum chonnan, oru manithan inge,

Iruvarulkkum  arivai   vaithe  , Cholla vaithan oruvan,

1.One man kept a name for God also,

Another man here told   that , “There is no God here”,

That God made   both of them tell like that  by keeping wisdom in them.

2,Ini puriyum athan unmai ,

Avanallavaa   iraivan,

Kattru vandhal maram asayum,

Kathrai kandathundaa?

2.Now you will understand  the truth of that,

Is he not   God?

When wind blws the tree  shakes,

Have you ever seen the wind?

3.Veethi yeengum pul mulaikkum,

Vithyai kandathundaa?

Kadalin neeari   mekam vangum ,

Kankal parathathu undaa,

Udalukkulle  ullamundu,

Uruvam angu undaa?

3. Grass will  grow all over the street,

Have you seen the seed of grass?

The water of the sea is taken by the cloud,

But have the eyes    seen it?

Mind is there inside the body,

But is there any shape  in side the mind?

4.Thedi thedi alainthavanum  ,

Kanavillai yendraan,

THelintha nilai kondavanum  ,

Illsi illai yendraan.

4.The one who searched and wandered told,

I have not seen it?

The very clear minded person told,

No, no, it is not there?

5.,Illai illai yendravanum ,

Yethanai illai    yendran,

Illai  oru shakthi   yendru,

Chollavillai yendraan,

5.  The one who told “no, no”,

Said “no”, referring to what,

And said , “I never said,

There is no power.”
