Pazha thottam,

Vandu varum thottamadi

Malar thottam,

Manithanukku thottamadi

Manathottam-antha,

Manithan vilayadumidam,

Pana thottam,

Introductory verse

.It is a garden which monkey comes,

The garden of fruits,

It is a hgarden in which bee   comes,

The flower garden,

It is the garden of man,

The garden of mind –it is a place ,

That man plays,

The garden of money.

1.Mana thottam  podumendru  ,

Mayavanar  kodutha udal,

Panathottam  pottatheyadi –muthamma,

Panathottam pottaththeyadi

1.tHis is the body given by that god ,

Asking me to put a   garden of mind,

But it has put a garden of money-Muthamma,

It has put a garden of money.

2.Sangamathal pirantha inam,

Singam pol  va;arntha gunam<

Thangathaal azhinthatheyadi-muthamma,

Thangathal  azhinthatheyadi

2.These  are the people  born due to Sangam,

And their character  has grown like a lion,

And has been destroyed by gold-Oh Muthamma,

Has been destroyed by gold .

3.Oosi munai kathukkulle  ,

Ottagangal; ponalum  ,

Kasi asai  pogathadi-Mhamma,

Kattayil   vegathadi.

3.Even is a camel enters  ,

The hole of the needle,

The desire for money would  not go Muthamma,

That body cannot be burnt by fire wood.

4. Ennayudan thannerai ,

Yeppadi thaan kalanthalum,

Irandum ondru cherathadi-muthamma,

Iyakkai gunam maarathadi

4. In whatever    way   we mix,

Oil along with water,

Bith of  them will not mix-oh Muthamma,

The natural    habit   would not change
