1. Nilavai parthu vaanam chonnathu,

Yennai thodathe  ,

Nizhalai parthu  bhoomi chonnathu  ,

Yennai thodathe.

1, The sky told the  moon,

Do not touch me  ,

The earth sawing the shadow told,

Do not touch ne.

2,Nadhiyai parthu  nanal chonnathu ,

Yennai thodathe,

Nalai parthu  iravu chonnathu ,

Yennai thodathe.

2, The twig of  grass  seeing the  river told,

Do not touch me  ,

The night saw the day and told,

Do not touch me.

3.Pudhiyadallave   theendamai yenpathu  ,

Pudumyallave nee chonnathu  ,

CHonna varthayum   iraval thanathu ,

THiru Neela kandarin manaivi chonnathu.

3,Untochability   is not any thing new ,

And  it is not new that  you told it,

The word that was told was a borrowed one,

It was told  by the wife of Thiruneelakandar,

4.THalathai ragam   thodatha pothole  ,

Geethathai  nenjam thodamal pogume,

THanthai thannaye   thai thodavidil ,

Nanum illaye , neeyum illaye .

4.If the THala(beat)   does not tough the tune,

The sond would   not tough the mind  ,

If father is not touched by the mother,

Neither you are there nor I am there.

5.THangam yedutha kai , athu thangam parthathaa,

Dharmam katha kai  , sama dharmam  kandathaa  ,

AAlayam cheivom  , ange anumathi yillai ,

Nee antha kootame  , athil athisayamillai.

5.Did the   hand that mined Gold  , ever  saw gold  ,

Did the hand that protected Dharma , Protect socialism,

We would build temple, there is no permission to enter there,

You also belong to that crowd, there is no  wonder  in it.
