1. Kathinile -perum kathinile,

Yethi vaitha  deepathilum   irul irukkum,

Kalamenum kadalile  Sorgamum naragamun.

1.In the wind-In the great wind,

Darkness   would be there, in a lamp that is lit,

In the ocean called time , there would heaven as well as hell.

2.Akkarayo, ikkarayo ,

Aandavanum  koyilil,

THoongi vidum pothu,

Yaridathil kelvi ketpathu.

2.Whether it is this shore or the other shore,

When the God   sleeps in his temple ,

To Whom can we ask the question.

3.Yezhaigal  AAsayum,

Kovil mani osayum,

Verupattal yenna cheyvathu-Dharmame ,

Maru pattal  yengu chelvathu.

3,If the desire of the poor people  ,

The sound of the bell of the temple  ,

Sounds different  -what can we  do,

If Dharma itself changes, Where can we go.

4.Aaduvthu natakam,

AAlukkoru pathiram,

Iraivanukku  vesham yennavo?

4.What we are playing is a drama,

Each one has his own role,

What  is the role  for the God?

5,Aada vittu paduvaan,

Moodu thirai  poduvaan,

Medayavan medayallavo,

Vazhkksyin  ,

Padayavan padayallavo

5.He would allo us to act and then sing  ,

Is this path not his path.
