1.Annan kattiya vazhi amma-ithu,

Anbal  vilaintha pazhiyamma ,

Kannai  imaye  keduthathamma,

Yen kayye   yennai adithathamma

1.This is the path shown by the elder   brother ,

And this is the bad name   caused   due to love  ,

The eye was    spoiled   by the eyelids ,

And my hand itself    beat  me,

2,THottal chuduvathu neruppakum,

Thodamal chuduvathu chirippakum,

THerinthe keduppathu pakaiyakum ,

Theriyamal keduppathu  uravakum

2.Fire is hot when one touches it ,

Laugh is one  which is hot  even without touching,

Spoiling  others with knowledge  is enmity  ,

Spoiling without knowing   is  relationship.

3.ADaikkalam yendre ninathirunthen,

Anaithavane  nenjai  yerithu vittan,

KOduthu arulvai yendru vendi nindren,

Kumbitta kaikalai  murithu vittan,

4,Avanai ninaithe naan irundhen ,

Avan thannai ninaithe   vaazhndirundhaan,

Innum avanai marakkavillai  -avan,

Ithanai cheythum  naan verukkavilai

4.I  was staying    thinking about him only ,

And he was living thinking about himself only  ,

And still I have not forgotten him but I do not ,

Hate  him  still , in spite odf doing all this .
