1.Kadavul manthinaga  pirakka vendum,

Avan  kadalithu vedanayil  vaada vendum,

Pirivenum kadalil moozhga vendum  -avan,

Pennenedral yenna vendu unara   vendum.

1.God ought to be born as a man,

And he should  love and wilt    with pain,

He would drown in the ocean called “Parting”,

And he would understand  what  is a girl.

2.Yethanai pen padaithan,

Yellorkkum kan padaithan,

Athanai kangalilum ,

Asai yenum visham koduthanaan.

2.How many  women he created,

He created eyes   for all of them,

And in all those eyes,

He kept the poison called desire.

3.oorengum thoovi vittan ,

Ullathile poosa vittan,

OOnchalai aada vittu ,

Uyarathile thangi vittan.

3.Hesprinkled them all over the places,

He applied    it in their hearts,

And he made   the swing swing about,

And preferred to stay very high.

4.Avanai azhaithu vandhu,

Asayil midakka vittu,

AAdadada aadu   yendru,

Aada   vaithu paarthiruppen.

After bring him here,

And making him float in desire ,

I would    see  him rocking  ,

Saying , “Hey swing and swing”

5.Paduaan thudithiruppan,

Pattathe podum yenban,

Paviyavan pen kulathai ,

Padikkamal niruthi vaippan.

And that  sinner  would  stop creating ,
