1. Kalamennum  nadhiyinile,

Kadhal yennum padagu vitten,

Malai varai otti vandhen,

Maru karaikku kooti vandhen.

1.IN the river of time,

I launched a boat called “love”,

I drove it till evening,

And I took it to the other shore.

2,Odam yena ninthirundhen,

Odum yena ninaithathillai,

Nadum yendre nadi nindren,

Nadakam  yendru yennavillai.

3.Idhyamendra kootinile  ,

Iruvarukku idamillai,

Oruvanukku  oruthi yendru ,

Ulagai vitte odugindren.

I am running away from the world.

4.Devanavan  thiruvadigal  varugave-yen,

Chinthanaikku amaithi   yendrum   tharugave,

Koodum ilam kadalargal  vaazhgave-kadhal,

Kondavargal  tholvi yindri vaazhgave  ,

4.Let the divine feet of God come ,

Let him give peace    to my thoughts ,

Long live the young lovers who join ,
