1.Ellorum nalam vaazha  naan paaduven,

Naan vaazha yaar  paaduvaar,

Yen padal  naan pada ,

Palar aaduvaar-ini,

Ennodu yaar aaduvaar

1.For all persons to hae a pleasant life , I would sing,

Who will sing for  me to live,

When I sing my song,

Several people would dance,

From now on who would dance with me.

2.Poo pondra  ennullam  yaar kandathu,

Pollatha  manamendru  per vandhathu,

Vazhi illatha  ezhai  yethu chonnalum paavam,

Yen nenjam  yennodu  pagaiyanathu.

2. Who was it who found my flower like heart,

I got a name that  I have a very bad  mind,

Whatever a poor one who does not have any way tells is sin,

And my mind   became   an enemy of mine.

3.Kanneerai  naan yengu  kadan vaanguven –athu,

Kadanaka vanthalum   thadai poduven ,

Nyayangal thelivaaga   naalakalaam-naan,

Yaar  yendru  appothu  nee kanalam.

2.From where would I borrow tears,

Even if it comes as a loan I will ban it,

It may take time for justice to become clear-

And that time you would  be able  to see   who I am.

3.Un paarvai yen nenjil  vizhkindrathu,

Un yennam   yethuvendru   therigindrathu –naan,

Yippothu   oomai , mozhi illatha pillai,

Yendrenum oru nal naan pesalam.

3.Your sight falls on my heart,

I am able to understand your thought,

I am now dumb, a boy without language  ,

And some day   I may perhaps talk.

4.Un padhai   nee kandu nee vaazhalaam –ini,

Yen padhai   naan kandu  naan pogalaam,

Yenge nee chendraalum  sukamagalam.,

4.You casn see your path    and you can live,

And now I can see  my path and go,

Wherever  you go, you can become happy.
