Vaazhavum vida maattar , pennai,

Vazhavum vida matter –indha

1.They say , “Family life is the  only good dharma”,

They would not allow a ladies to live,

Would not allow to live-this

2.Thollai illamal  -maraivathendralum,

Chakavum vida matter –avare,

Chakavum vida maattar

2.Even if they want to disappear   without troubles,

They would  not allow  her   to die also,

Would not allow to die.

3.Kadhal yendrm, pasam yendrum  ,

Kadhayai koorvaar –nooru,

Vagaye pesuvarr-ange,

Mangayar ulagam  boomai kalagum

3.They would tell     stories that,

It is love and it is affection ,

And talk  in hundred different ways there,

The world of ladies is but  the world of toys.

4.Maru naal maaruvaar –pennai ,

Vaazhavum vida maattar –avare,

Chakavum vida matter

4.They would change   next day  ,

And would not allow ladies to live ,

Nor  they would allow them to die.

5.Kangal moodi kidappathanale  ,

Pengal deivamaa? Veetil  ,

Kallai pola iruppathanaale  ,

Pengal deivamaa –uyar

5.Just because they lie  closing   their eyes,

Would ladies become  Gods,

Because they  live in the house like stone,

Would they become Gods-great gods

6.Jeevan illamal  vazhvathinaale,

Deivam pen yendraar –Inba,

Chelvam  pen endrar

6.Because God lives    without a soul,

They said ladies are Gods,

They Said ladies are sweet wealth .

7.Manam yenbathu pengalukku yendral  ,

AAngalkku yen illai  -Oru vartthayinaale ,

Kalangam pirappathu ,

Mathargal padum tholli-indha

naatilum needhi illai,thamizh yettilum needi illai.

7,If virtue is there    for ladies , why,

Is it not there for men- just by one word,

A stain has   arisen with the trouble being undergone by ladies,

There is no justice in this country , nor is it in  books.
