1. Ulagam piranthathu yenakkaga,

Odum nadhikalum  yenakkaga,

Malargal malarvathu yenakkaga-annai,

Madiyai virithal yenakkaga.

1.The world was    born for my sake,

The rivers that flow are also for my sake,

The flowers   open  for my dake,

And the lap of my mothrt also open for my sake.

2,Kathril midakkum olikalile ,

Kadalil thavazhum alaigalile  ,

Iraivan iruppathai naan ariven,

Yenaai  avane thaan arivaan,

3.THavazhum  nilavaam  thangaradham,

Tharagai  pathitha  mani makudam,

Kuyilkal paadum  kalai koodam,

Kondathu yenathu arasangam,

3,The golden chariot  of moon light that wafts,

The crown in which gem like stars are   studded,

The art assembly in which the  koels sing,

Are the   parts   of my government.

4,Yellam yenakkul irunthalum ,

Yennai thanakkul vaithirukkum,

Annai maname yen kovil,

Avale   yendrum yen deivam.

4, Though everything is in side me,

The mind of mother   which keeps,

Me in side it is my temple,

And she   is alone   is my God.
