1. Yarai nambi naan  piranthen,

Pongadaa ponga-yen,

Kalam vellum, vendra pinne ,

Vangadaa vanga.

1.Believing in whom was I born,

Goaway please , go away ,

Time will win  , and after the victory,

Please do come , do come.

2. Kulathile thanniyille,

Kokkum ille , meenum ille  ,

Pettiyile panamum ille,

Petha pullai sondhamille

2. There   is no water in the pond ,

Nor is there a stork   nor the fish,

And there  is no money in the box ,

And our own son is not related   to us.

3.THennai pethaa  ila neeru  ,

Pillayai pethaa kanneru  ,

Pethavan maname  pithamma  ,

PIllai maname  kallamma

2. If you give birth to coconut , you get sweet water,

If you give birth to a son, you get tears  ,

The mind of  the one who gave birth  is crumbling mud ,

And the mind of the  child is like the stone.

3.Panayile choru irunthaa ,

Poonaikalum sondhamadaa ,

Sodhanayai pangu vachaa,

Sondhamille  , bandhamille  .

3. If there  is rice  in the pot,

Even cats would be our relations,

If we are sharing  misery ,

There are no relations, no friends,

4.Nenjamirukku  thunivaaga  ,

Neramirukku thelivaga  ,

Ninaithal mudippen   sariyaaga ,

Nee yaar, naan yaay podaa  p[o.

4. There is a mind which is bold  ,

There is time   which is clear ,

If I think of it, I would complete it properly.

Who are you,. Who am I, get lost.

5.Aadiyile kathadichaa ,

Ippasiyil mazhai varum  ,

THedi varum   kalam vandhaa  ,

Chelvamellam odi varum,

5.If wind blows in July-august ,

It will rain in october-november,

When the time comes when everything comes in search of us,

All wealth would come running   to us.
