1. Chumai thangi chainthal  chumai  yennavagum,
Mani dheepam oynthaal , oli yengu pogum
1.When the burden-rest   falls  what will happen to the burden,
When the gem lamp gets exhausted  , where would the light  go?
2.Chirithalum podhum ,
Deivangal koodum  ,
Chilai pola chainthaal,
Kalai yengu pogum,
Kula mangai koondhal  ,
Kalainthu aadalaama
Malar choodu kanne  , Manavalan munne
2,A laugh is all  that is needed ,
For all the gods to assemble,
But if it topples like a  statue  .
Where  would the art go?
Can the hair  of  a well bred lady,
 Get untied and start waving?
Oh darling  , decorate it with flower ,
Before him who weds   you,
3.Mana malai  konda madhurai meenakshi  ,
Nadamada vendum , naan thedum kakshi  ,
Alamelu mangai  thunai undu kanne  ,
Alankara  manjal niraam  kakkum unnai
3.The meeakshi of Madurai who got the wedding garland  ,
Would move about, This is the scene for which   I am searching ,
Darling there   is help from allamelu  mangai  ,
The ornamental yellow would protect your colour.
