1. Maranathai yenni kalangidum   vijayaa,

Maranathin thanmai cholven  ,

Manida aanmaa maranameithathu  ,

Marupadi piranthirukkum,

Meniyai kolvai,  Meniyai kolvai.

1.Oh Arjuna   who is worried  thinking about death,

I would tell you the nature   of death  ,

The soul of humans never reach death  ,

It would  be born again  ,

Kill the body, kill the body.

2.Veerathil athuvum ondru-nee,

Vittu vittalum   avarkalin meni  ,

Vendhu thaan ttheerum oru naal,

Yennai arinthai  , yella uyirum,

Yenathendrum arinthu kondai  ,

Kannan manathu kal manathandro  ,

Khandeepam nazhuva vittai.

2,. It is also one type of valour-

Even if you leave   their body ,

One day it would definitely  get burnt,

You know me, you also know  that,

All the souls  belong to me .

Is not the mind of Krishna made of stone ,

You let Gandeeva slip   from your hands.

3.Mannanum naane  , makkalum naane  ,

Maram chedi  kodiyum naane  ,

Chonnavan kannan,  Cholbavan kannan  ,

tHuninthu nil, dharmam vaaza.

3.I am the king   and I am the people also,

I am the tree , plant   and the climbers  ,

He who had told is Krishna, He who is telling is Krishna,

Stand firmly and boldly so that Dharma grows luxuriantly.

4.Punniyam ithuvendru ulagam chonnal  -antha,

Punniyam kannanukke  ,

Pothuvaar pothalum, thoothuvaar  thothalum  ,

Pogattum kannanukkew.

4.If the world says  , this is the blessed  deed,

Than that blessed deed belongs   to Krishna  ,

Let the praise of those who praise and the scold  of those who scold  ,

Reach only  Krishna.

5.Kannane kaatinaan  , kannane thakkinaan  ,

Kannane kolai cheigindran,

Kandeepam ezhuga  -nin kai vannam ezhuga  ,

Ikkalamellam chivakka  Vaazhga.

5.Krishna showed , Krishna   attacked ,

And it is Krishna who is killing  ,

Let gandeepa ride in your hand  , Let your  handiwork be shown,

Let this entire battle field   become red.
